In the Web-based interface, click "Add Multiple Student data" under the options panel on the front screen. Follow the Wizard to import names and details of students. If you don't already have the names in a spreadsheet or other document, just type them in; each student on a new line. For a more detailed explanation of this process, please refer to the "Quick start" Tutorial at www.STEARsoft.co.uk On a Palm device, open a class, then tap the standard menu button and choose "Add student" |

Since this thread started, the new STEARsoft iPhone app (that also works on iPod-Touch and iPad) has been released. At the time of this posting, there is only a STEARsoft Lite app. This is fully featured and functional, but requires synchronisation with a registered copy of STEARsoft (for Windows). You cannot add students using the iPhone interface, so you should add students in the web-interface of the PC-installation, and then synchronise to import them to your iPhone (or iPod-Touch or iPad). The planned non-Lite version will allow users to add students directly, to avoid needing to install STEARsoft on a PC - such use will miss out on all the reporting and other extended features available on the Windows version though. |
