Hi Marcus - just a suggestion. When a teacher is on the edit note box, and wants to enter a code for an absence that they are not familiar with, is it possible for them to have a label that links to the description for the codes for when they hover over a certain letter? Mark. |

Hi Mark,
Sorry for the slow reply...
Thanks for this. This probably does want reviewing at some point. It already does this in internet explorer which is the primary supported and recommended browser. The method I use to show this 'tooltip' is not consistent across browsers though. Some browsers have add-in options that do something along the lines of "Popup ALT atribute", but that's not really an acceptable solution. I will add it to the list to try and make this feature more reliable across more browsers.
Thanks again for highlighting this.
Yours,

Hi Mark,
This is in the recent release (version 5.9.1) - you need to add descriptions in the 'Descriptions of codes' screen in the administrator area. For individual use, the 'Blank' column descriptions in the 'Edit register codes' screen are the ones used for this.

Noticed this - thanks. However I have also noticed that the bullet point one doesn't show the tag. Mark |

It would also be handy (for the future) if it is possible to add in numbers to mark attendance (for internal reasons eg. SEN provision, Internal Exclusion, Exams etc) |

Nice idea. Thanks. I presume you mean to add the digits 0-9 in addition to the letters A-Z as code options.

Marcus. |

Correct. Thanks for extending the license. Mark |

Thanks for the highlight about the bullet point too. I'd not spotted this!

Is the digit codes something we will see soon? Mark |

Hi Mark,
No, sorry the digit codes whilst sounding simple is a significant change the way the data is encoded, so is quite a way down the list... The bullet point bug is found and fixed though, so will be in the next release.
